Artworks & Projects > A shell for you...

A shell for you…, 2025 features baler shells (Melo amphora), used for millennia to carry and drink water and more recently, to mark the graves of loved ones. Each photograph features a baler shell adorned with flowers to honour West’s grandmothers, whose graves are neglected and unmarked. The enduring use of Baler shells connects cultural traditions to ongoing narratives of care and remembrance.
